Haiku for fun and writing stimulation

If I write some haiku that I think is funny, interesting, relevant, “literary”, poignant, or just plain because I wanted to, I’ll post the verses here.

10/13/11

Golf is a strange game

Hit a little white ball, hard

Then rationalize

10/13/11

Boundary Waters

Canoe Area Wild’ness

Trees, rocks, water, peace

10/17/11

Cold windy fall day

Played in a golf tournament

Scramble, drunks, fourth place

10/17/11

Writer’s block dogs me

Am I afraid of success?

Just a bad writer?

10/27/11

Seasons change slowly

Spring eases toward summer

But fall sneaks in fast

10/27/11

There are not many

Seven-syllable words in

The English language

11/1/11 (In memoriam)

Tom Keith/Jim Ed Poole
Quiet humble excellence
All that needs saying

12/9/11

Christmas is nearing

Nerves frazzle, tempers flaring

The main thing, caring

12/26/11

Winter’s sun hurts eyes

Winter’s ice freezes fingers

Solstice brings me hope

1/13/12

Ah, January

The cruelest month of all

Survive it? Always

2/6/2012

Super Bowl over

Ho hum ho hum ho hum … hmmmmmm!

Hype worth it? Sometimes

5/28/2012

Memorial Day

Some celebrate with great pride

I lament the waste

Hey Chris, I enjpy reading your blogs! Unfortunately, they only pop up once in a while. Then, I read a bunch at a time. I’m jealous at your ability to write!
