A New Way of Looking at the World?

Thanks to Jane Friedman for tweeting this link. Maybe my Neo Renaissance theory is more mainstream than I thought. Thought provoking and worth 10 minutes of your time.

I concur with his thesis. My belief is that the more we learn, the more we discover we don’t know.  And the more we learn, the more we understand the inter-connectivity of all living things in our world. In 100 years,  society may look back upon the early 21st Century and chuckle at how primitive our knowledge and beliefs about the universe were.

  1. Yes, I think about this on a regular basis. (If you read my blog, you know that I do). Most people are enclosed in their limited personal views and perspectives. They are blind to how much things have changed, and they will continue to change in ways that we may not even imagine. I have my own ideas on what changes will take place but I can’t say them aloud. I would be stoned to death for expressing them.

    • You and I may be kindred spirits, Julia. I think way too much sometimes and come up with seemingly bizarre solutions to problems and out-of-the-mainstream ideas of what will happen to us Earthlings in the future, which make sense to me but make no sense to the average citizen who is blinded and brainwashed by mass media/politics/industrial complex as to what is normal, desirable, feasible, and doable.
